smooth production,

and a spirit of collaboration.

A live-action production crew stands atop sunlit sand dunes during a location scout or shoot setup. The group, dressed in casual work attire with gear in hand, surveys the vast landscape under a blazing sun. Long shadows stretch across the sand, hinting at early morning or late afternoon light, with camera prep or scene planning underway in the open desert environment.

Live Action

What we do

Buckaroo is a hybrid production company built to take ideas from spark to screen — whether it’s a high-impact commercial or a long-form narrative. Based in Austin, we handle the full journey: from concept development to final post, working across every storytelling medium imaginable.

How We Git Er Done

We partner with a tight-knit roster of directors and design studios who bring deep expertise in everything from automotive shoots to animation, narrative, virtual production, ICVFX, and VFX. If it’s part of the storytelling process, we’ve got it covered.

Though we’re proudly non-union, we’re also AICP and DGA members. That opens the door to collaborate with top-tier production partners and their DGA directors — giving us the flexibility to scale up or plug in as needed. At our core, Buckaroo is about creative collaboration and production services that connect the coasts, while staying true to our Austin roots.

A live-action production crew films on a virtual production stage featuring a two-story house rendered in Unreal Engine. The house, displayed on a large LED volume wall, is lit to mimic dusk or early evening. Crew members gather around a camera setup in the foreground, with lighting equipment and monitors visible, capturing the seamless integration of real actors and digital environments.
